54 civilians cross LoC

JAMMU, Jan 23: Fifty-four civilians today exchanged sides from the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-Da-Bagh in weekly Poonch-Rawlakote bus service. Twenty-eight civilians left Poonch for Hajeera, Rawlakote in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) this morning to meet their divided family members and relatives across the LoC. They included one first timer from this part of the divided State and 27 PoK citizens, who headed back home after completing their stay of 28 days or above on this side, official sources said.
From Rawlakote, 26 civilians reached Poonch including eight guests and 18 returnees of this side. Abdul Hamid, GM DIC Poonch and MA Qureshi, DySP DAR Poonch were present at Chakan-Da-Bagh during cross-LoC movement of the civilians while Aslan Ahmed, SDM Hajeera, represented PoK.
