Srinagar: Accusing the Jammu and Kashmir government of neglecting their community, the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) today threatened a state-wide agitation to seek redressal of their "genuine grievances".
"If the state government fails to address our problems, the community is left with no option but to launch a state-wide campaign to seek redressal of our genuine grievances," APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina said in a statement here.
"We are deeply concerned over the continued negligence of our community at the hands of successive governments (in the state)," he said.
Sikh voters are a decisive factor in 20 Assembly constituencies, currently represented by several ministers and important members of the opposition parties. "But, the most unfortunate part is that these MLAs have never come forward to solve the problems faced by the community," he said.
