J&K Govt. initiates various measures for rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits

Jammi : Coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir has initiated various measures for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley even as a special employment package has been sanctioned for the educated Kashmiri Pandit youth under which 6000 youth would be provided employment opportunities in various government departments. This was stated by J&K Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr. Raman Bhalla. He said residential quarters for Kashmiri Pandits have been constructed at Sheikhpora, Budgam, Mattan, Anantnag, Veesu, Qazigund and Hall in Pulwama district for safe and secure accommodation of migrant employees.

Raina reports from Jammu that J&K Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla said that the residential quarters would also be constructed at other places for safe and secure accommodation of migrant Kashmiri Pandit youth who will be absorbed in various State Government Departments in Kashmir Valley under the Prime Ministers’ Special Employment Package for Migrant Kashmiri Pandit Youth. Under the package 1706 educated Kashmiri Pandit youth have been provided appointment orders so far in the first phase and they have been given one months time to report for duty in Kashmir Valley. Mr. Bhalla said that the people of Kashmir have always upheld the traditions of communal amity and ideals of secularism. He said that people of Kashmir Valley are eager for the return of their Kashmir Pandit brethren.
