PoK PM vows to settle Kashmir dispute on priority basis

ISLAMABAD: Newly elected Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed vowed on Tuesday to make efforts for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute on a priority basis.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that he believed in the supremacy of law for the establishment of good governance and that stern action would be initiated against violators of merit. The AJK prime minister affirmed that all steps would be taken to help bring prosperity to the area.“Tourism would be promoted in AJK to attract tourists from the whole country as well as all over the world towards this beautiful land and it would help to increase its revenue”, he said.

Majeed said that hydropower was a golden project and that his government would work on this to generate power from water as soon as possible, for the benefit of the people of the area. He said that he would honour the mandate given by the masses and would work to resolve their issues.
